A company I was working with has been contacted to develop a new platform for the Allianz Benelux Job Department, and I was asked to take care of the design. Of course, with such a big brand as Allianz, I had to follow strict guidelines, who were already well established in all their communication. But in the end, I've been quite free to design and purpose personal things and ideas, animations, ...
As we started from scratch, except the Allianz guidelines (which is already quite a thing^^), the first step for me was to define the structure and based on that, to purpose some wireframes.
Once the wireframes have been validated, they gradually transformed into mockups with the final design. I started with the main pages, such as the Homepage, Contact page, the job search page...
We quickly realized than we could not use images libraries for long and we had to shoot our own images inside the company to meet the client expectations and have the Allianz look and feel.
Then I animated the different illustrations we chose to use. The goal was to offer something that would make the platform a little more lively, while avoiding distracting visitors' attention from the main content.
Then the rest of the pages have been designed. There was pages for the main jobs accessible in this department, as well as for the key values of the company.
It was a great project to work on, involving many people, many teams. Despite the fact that Allianz is a big brand with strict guidelines, I had a lot of flexibility. I also had the chance to do things that I do not as often as I would like, as photoshoots and animations on illustrations.
